Collecting things as a child gave me great joy. We didn't have many toys and I was perfectly happy with collections of bus tickets, bottle tops, leaves, pencils, marbles, anything colorful or with interesting shapes and textures. My collections never lasted long, but I enjoyed them. Today I have an enormous collection of fabric, and this piece relates to both my childhood and my love now of all the different wonderful prints on fabric.
