Boxelder bugs were endemic where I grew up, almost a defining feature of the environment . They lived by the thousands in our clerestory windows, I think they loved the warm sun and humid air of my parents' pool room. Over time, their omnipresence helped convert my initial feelings of revulsion into familiar charm; just watch out lest one drop into your morning coffee, or fall out of the leg of your pants.
