I’ve spent the last 6 summers volunteering for Colorado Parks and Wildlife or in the search of the next amazing fish with my fly fishing husband. This piece was based on a beautiful Cutthroat I caught in the high mountains of Colorado and the net was left behind at one of the ponds by a visitor who considered it trash. I found the contrast between trash and treasure interesting to think about as I worked on this piece.
