A heat map is a graphic representation of data where values are depicted by color. This heat map was made, quilted, cut into strips and then woven to mimic a serape, also known as a Saltillo blanket, which were woven by the Aztecs in the 1500's. Saltillo is Coahuila's capital, the oldest city in Northern Mexico and know for this Saltillo blanket.
