Nature's land mines, the cacti! Tread lightly or else! The cacti are plentiful in the southwest and it is a low water succulent hardy enough to survive drought and sandy and sandstone soil with little to no nutrients. They are every turn and any misstep will leave you scampering for a bandage or a lift home!
