I am fascinated by trees and how they have their own sentience and connections with each other. Earth’s fungi are also interconnected and have formed a mat of “threads” just under the surface of the Earth, and mushrooms are a part of that layer. Earth has many secrets and hidden lives to share with us if we just take a moment to look around. Thoughts about all that is hidden from our eyes inspired to create the mushrooms we don’t see—or that may help us to “see” everything that is hidden just below the surface.
