Sun Rain

The phenomenon of what I call "Sun Rain" fascinates me--especially when it happens in the desert!  Bright skies, few clouds and rain!  Blessed rain!  Something we saw far too little of in 2020.  

 

The round shapes are needle felted using various yarns and wool roving.  I see these forms as raindrops on my car windshield.  The mountain was made with fabric weaving (a nod to my weaving background).  The sky is commercial fabric.  Machine appliqued and machine quilted.
