The Hidden Life of Trees

The world of trees is a world of sunlight. However, below this canopy lies a world of hidden life in the dark shelter of the oldest trunks and roots. For this quilt, I used raw-edge applique for the bark. I let the background fabric speak of the foliage and sky. I used swarovski and glass seed beads to suggest the hidden life.
