Zephyr’s Tails

My goal with “Zephyr’s Tails” was to find a solution to the call for “Heads or Tails” that was not the expected response. I made a list of things (other than animals) that had “tails”. Kites have tails, and in researching kites, I found that a kite cannot fly without a tail. I used intuitively pieced fabric blocks for the body of each kite and delicate and graceful commercial ribbon for each tail. The delicacy of the ribbon pieces made it simple to show the kite tails being touched by the wind.
