A sense of wonder. How does the bench withstand time? A manmade object that has been abandoned from its carriage, its post, its legs find new support between the strength of two poplar trees. It is a miracle and freak of nature That wo trees would rise to the occasion to withstand odds to holdfast the seat of many. If only the seat could tell of whence it came, how it lost its context and how the trees came to its rescue. Once was lost is now found. It’s a bench with more strength than ever.
